This drawing by Jan Bajtlik joyfully pays homage to the posters of the Polish school of the 1950s to 1970s. Warsaw graphic designers challenged the conventions of their time to illustrate films, plays, concerts, and exhibitions. It wasn't simply a matter of catching the eye, but also of mastering the art of detail. The key words were: simple lines, emblematic figures. Cockades, ribbons, and geometric patterns recall the power of these creations. Kluska, the artist's little dog, has slipped in to the right of the composition, sporting a mischievous snout.
