Hermès "Découpages" scarf, designed by Anne Rosat - 1st edition 1997
Although Belgian, it is the Swiss Alps that inspire Anne Rosat's work. In 1969, she created her first papercut (a reproduction of a papercut by Johann Jakob Hauswirth) to please her husband, an antique dealer, who had been unable to keep the original. Since then, the artist has never stopped wielding her scissors, preserving the tradition of this art from the Pays-d'Enhaut region while adding a touch of modernity. Her talent did not go unnoticed by Hermès, which, in 1997, launched one of its famous scarves featuring an Anne Rosat papercut. This design has become a collector's item. This scarf was reissued only once, in 2006. Excellent condition. The rolled edges are beautifully rounded and full. Very rare and sought after.
