Hermès Scarf – Cuirs du désert – Françoise de la Perrière

VENDU

Created by Françoise de la Perrière in 1988, then reissued in 1993, this scarf is an invitation to travel. At the centre, a Tuareg rider sits astride his dromedary, surrounded by saddlebags, satchels and wallets with swirling fringes, the silent companions of his journeys. The meticulously worked hides, chased, dyed and openworked, celebrate the craftsmanship of the peoples of the Sahara, from the Berbers of the Hoggar to the nomads of Gao. In this colourway, the silk lights up with an intense, luminous green ground, structured by geometric details in coral red, blue and ochre. It is an edition highly prized by collectors. In very good condition.
